The following Celebrities were gracious enough to lend their support by offering to write a small public message for us, in hopes of bringing more awareness to Spina bifida. Heres just a little bit of what they had to say...
Keep on fighting this!!! I will support and help
you where I can!
This effort you're involved in is very impressive and your accomplishments are even more so.
I'm very moved by your campaign to bring attention to the needs of those who have to deal with physical challenges and I'm happy to lend my name in support of your campaign to raise awareness of Spina bifida, in particular.
" On behalf of The Moyer Foundation and our mission of helping Children in distress, we support Robert's brave and inspiring efforts to help raise funds and awareness for Spina bifida. "
Jamie Moyer, MLB Pitcher and Co-Founder/President of The Moyer Foundation.
Prior to being asked to photograph an experimental in utero fetal surgery, I had no real knowledge of Spina bifida. However, after capturing the picture of Samual Armas reaching from his mother's womb, I've become increasingly aware of the need for a cure. Samuel's little hand brought about an awareness of the right to life for the unborn. His existence has brought about the awareness of the value of that life! From making history as the youngest interaction made between an unborn child and his surgeon to a swimming champion at the age of 9 years old! Now, thats worth the cure!!!
I think what your doing is very commendable.
I have a Friend who has Spina bifida and I appreciate
you being a voice for him as well. Good luck with this!!!!
Inspiring to see adversity turned into challenge and advocacy. Sometimes it seems we are given specific hurdles, just for that reason. I support your cause, and wish for greater understanding and education. I encourage all to become aware of the issue of Spina bifida, and how it could hit any one of us or our children. Life is short, physical being transitory. God speed!
Keep up the fight.
I wish you the best of luck in fighting Spina bifida!
You are a living example of refusing to let
circumstances of your life define how you live.
Let nothing stop you!
Best wishes with your efforts.
I take my hat off to you.
Each year thousands of babies are born with Spina bifida. Spina bifida is a developmental birth defect caused by the incomplete closure of the embryonic neural tube. and there is no single cause of Spina bifida, nor any known way to prevent it entirely.
In order to enhance their quality of life the main target now is to allow them to develop themselves to their fullest potential.
People affected by Spina bifida are special people. They learn to work very hard everyday just to stay healthy. And I have not seen people more grateful for what life has to offer. We should all stand by them in this fight-a fight that can be won. With more research, more awareness, more support, more hope. and a commitment and dedication from our governments.
I wish you the best of luck in
your difficult task.
You are a man with unlimited abilities! Thank you for sharing your story with me.
